Last Sunday of Black History Month
Sunday, February 26, 2017 is the Eighth and last Sunday of the season of Epiphany, "Lest We Forget Sunday," and the Fourth Sunday of Black History Month. Scripture lesson for 7:45 a.m. worship is Isaiah 49.8-16a. The sermon topic is "Not Forsaken, Not Forgotten." Scripture lesson for 10:45 a.m. is Matthew 6.24-34. The sermon topic is "The Believer's Victory Over Worry."
At 3:00 p.m Sunday, February 26, we will fellowship with the congregation of First Baptist Institutional Church of Detroit, 17101 West Seven Mile Road on the occasion of their 100th Church Anniversary.
On Ash Wednesday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m., we will join the congregations of St. Paul AME, New Calvary, Friendship, Renaissance, and Second Baptist at Greater New Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 586 Owen at Brush, to begin our Lenten Journey with worship.
